With new information and communication technologies available, many educational organizations wish to provide distance education services, in order to increase their base of potential students. However in many cases, "expansionist" strategies are counterproductive, preventing organizations from maximizing the potential offered by new technologies.

ASLearningDesign proposes the use of new technologies in an uncomplicated way that even the most novice users can easily acclimate to.  

What is a distant learning device?

We at ASLearningDesign believe that a training device is a complex object in which educators with pedagogical purposes interact with students who has special educational needs in a well defined space by a learning platform on the Web. The links that identify the different actors are defined by a system of interactions and exchanges that enable real socio-cultural learning meaningful.

ASLearningDesign creates training devices based in three key theories of learning, behaviorism, cognitivism and social constructivism. Our studies point out that all students have a "cognitive structure" that is, a knowledge gained by experience, by interactions with other individuals and prior knowledge. ASLearningDesign strategies can exploit these "cognitive structures" of each student to learn significantly.
